Te Kairanga Runholder Pinot Noir is a nod to Martinborough’s pioneering namesake John Martin, who once farmed the land with sheep, earning him the name of ‘runholder’. This Pinot Noir is sourced from Te Kairanga’s home vineyards planted on his original land holdings. Deep dark intense crimson hues lead to a flurry of cedar perfume, spice and cherry bramble and classic Martinborough savoury notes. The palate has a rich velvety texture with a burst of wild berry fruit, soft spice and fine silky tannins. A perfect match for crispy duck with a Tian Mian Jiang sauce, Runholder Pinot Noir is very drinkable now but can be cellared for 5 to 8 years.
